With Lotus I don't know if its cause someone hated Honda. I think its more cost reasons and knowing that Toyota is one company that has a high reving reliable engine, not to say Honda doesn't but I guess they figured an already production version (at the time) engine was already out why not go with...that's what I got from it. But I could be wrong.
