Maybe the problem is not the battery or alternator, but some parasitic load is draining the battery when the engine is off.
Connect an ammeter in series with the battery, and with everything OFF, the current drain on the battery should be maybe 50 milliAmps (.050 Amps) or so from stereo, clock, ECM, etc. If it's a lot more start pulling fuses to isolate the problem circuit, then troubleshoot from there.
