89 Pickup wiring Question

Hi,

I recently purchased a 89 Toyota Pickup 4x4 and it was accidented on the Pass door. I hunted for some time and finally found some doors in WI. They were in quite nice shape so I bought them. After the purchase I found out that these doors have Power Windows, Locks and mirrors....! My truck has roll down windows and no power nothing.

My question is, does Toyota install wiring provisions in the main harness for these accessories that I may be able to find and hook up to the door connectors and maybe install a relay (or 2) or am I looking at having to wire everything in...?

Thank you in advance for your help..

Best regards,

Looking at the FSM schematics, there are modules used to control the power windows, not sure about the power locks/windows.

I am in the same shape as you.Someone backed into mine last week and dented in the passenger door.I found another door but I also found a set of SR-5 Doors with all power but mine are manuel and I thought it would be nice to put the SR-5 doors on there but the dealer said it wouldn't work without a new wiring harness.I'm still deciding on what to do.Let us know if you figure yours out.

I am looking at a number of schematics (i have not found a comprehensive wiring diagram yet) and there definitely is a module involved which does a lot of controlling of the circuit. There seems to be some rewiring of the door courtesy switches also. I am downloading an '88 fsm, hopefully the wdm will be there. I may just wire up the windows and mirrors and leave the door locks as they seem to need the control relay. I will post any updates as I progress...

Cheers.

BTW, there are no wiring provisions on my truck. All wires will need to be added.

The SR5 trucks came wired for the main relay (beside the underdash fusebox) that controls the windows, locks, mirrors and courtisy lights.

There are two additional main clips per door that are not wired for you though.

The doors themselves are the same and you can convert manual/power and vise versa.

Find the toyota FSM volume 2 or the all electrical volume 3 for your truck.

I installed the passenger door and tried to get the window working (they are from a 91). I looked at several wdm and schematics and they say that LR is Positive and LB is ground when the switch is operated to the up position. Doesn't work... Is there a actual wiring diagram available on line? I have tried the one in the FSM and it is pretty much useless.
