1994 4x4 Pickup Coolant Leak

I just purchsed a 1994 toyota pickup 4x4. 2.4L. I noticed after the enging warms up coolant starts leaking from behind the exaust manifold. On the seam from the bock and the head.
Does anybody know what the cause of this is? Is is the head gasket?
Also there's two studs missing from the bottom center of the exhaust manifold, some one told me this could be the cause. What do you guy's think the cause of this is.

If coolant is seeping out from between the cylinder head and block then the headgasket has failed.

I have heard of guys snugging up the headbolts for a quick fix but usually this means its time to rebuild the top end.
