Fan/Blower problem

I have a problem with the fan on my 93 hilux...can anybody shed any light on the problem? The fan works fine when wired directly to the battery. First question: When I turn the fan switch on I get a reading of 12 volts going into the relay and about 10 coming out....is that voltage drop normal/correct? seond question/problem: when I plug everything in(or if I dont plug in the resistor) i get the 10 volt reading at the wires going to the fan....but as soon as I actually connect it to the fan the voltage drops to zero. Any ideas what would cause this? cheers

Try replacing the relay.

That did the trick. Took the relay cap off afterward and was coroded inside. cheers
