Whats it worth?

Im looking to buy a toyota pickup, I found one locally in my area but i think this guy is asking way too much for it.
what do you think?

Asking Price: $1800 Canadian
1993 toyota pickup
273000 kilometers
3L V6, 5 speed standard
interior has rips on the seats and headrest

What do you think? how much should i offer him? or is it not worth buying?

2WD or 4WD?
I can't see the pics, but $1800US would be good to great for a 4WD in average shape in my area.

I would definitely pass.

That has 169,000 miles, is rusty as hell, and is a V6. The 4-cylinder 22RE is the motor you want. I know things are different in the rustbelt (and all Canada is a rustbelt), but I think you should hold out for a better body. The V6 has issues where many, many of them need MAJOR overhauls/replacement at or before 169K miles. Pass on this one.

Is it possible for you to get a car in the States, and bring it into Canada to license? It would well be worth looking into.

I can see the pics at home, it's 2WD.
As far as rust, frame rust is a Toyotas biggest enemy.
Big question would be how does it run/drive/ride?
Service history?

Yeah, they're bulletproof, if you have the 22RE, and a good frame/body. They are relatively easy to work on, and you have lots of support from enthusiasts who know how to twist a wrench (BTW, people that know a helluva lot more than me; I can just tackle basic stuff).
