Hi. First post with a question

Back in college, I bought a new short cab/bed 22r 5spd. Lived in southern Colorado. Put 370,000 miles of abuse on it. I even hydrlocked it once. It would not die. Sold it 8 years ago. I have kicked myself often about it. I still see it going down the road from time to time. It must have 5 or 6 hundred k on it now.

I was surfing fleabay last thursday and saw a 93 with mint interior and paint with 80K on it. I overpaid for it and bought it.....well, just because.

Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc are good. Have a bit of a loose clunk when crossing a bump in the road. Is there a common place to look?
Thanks

How are the shocks? I know this is pretty obvious, but mine was clunking badly just going over those quarter-inch reflectors they have embedded in the road here in Florida. I just installed an el cheapo Monroe set last weekend, and what a difference!

You also might have some play in your steering linkage/bushings, like your idler arm and Pitman arm.

Welcome to TN.

Thanks. Good call. I ordered new shocks earlier today.

Look at the swaybar and swaybar link bushings, they're a real common cause of bump clunk.

Yep, check swaybar endlinks/bushings. Check the idler arm for any up/down play, and check your wheel bearings
