Canada 1990 Pick-up

So I bought a old Toyota pick-up for about $3000, Decent truck, pretty sure I over payed but oh well Moneys overrated anyway

Its a V6 has 273,000Kms, 4x4, 5spd works awesome. Mint frame, bodys rough in spots (full of bondo) no rust anywhere though. has a few bumps and bruises, an annoying exhaust leak and a bit of a valve tap when cold and the clutch slips a bit under high load in 4th and 5th.

Whats some cheap upgrades that are common for power ups? Is there any decent chips out there? trying to get my hands on a full headers back magna flow for the guy i bought it from.. can i put 33s under it without a lift?

Any advise is appreciated

I put a cat back flowmaster on my '91, and I could feel the difference right away. Mind you the exhaust when I got it was swiss cheese, and the exhaust manifold was also leaking.

I would start with the exhaust, and then get a decent filter.

You can fit 33x10.50" tires on stock wheels with no lift and minor pinch weld clearancing.

Consider new gears to make her nice and peppy! 4.88's would be a good match, you can find them in stock 92-95 pickups and 4runners with a v6,auto and 31" factory tires.

There are no "chips" for these ECU's you can bump the timing... thats about it.
