stolen catalytic converter

Someone stole the catalytic converter on my 94 toyota pick up.

does anybody know where i can get a replacement catalytic converter for a good deal. thanks.

I live in california so i would need a catalytic converter that's compatible for california emission regulations.

I'd start by calling local parts stores to see what they have.

I have always wondered about this.

Supposedly CA converters are more efficient or something like that.

I think its a bunch of government beuaricratic lies.

All the online retailers refuse to sell the OEM fit catalytic converter to CA residents.

I have seen a couple of generic online outfits that will sell a CA compliant converter. They are not OEM fit as you have to by pipe and clamps or weld.

I would like to know if anyone knows of an online outfit that will sell OEM fit converters to CA (CA compliant or not).

Also anyone by a 49 state converter and had their vehicle smogged in CA? I don't see why a 49 state converter would not work as a new 49 state converter should work better than a 15 year old CA compliant converter.

Let us know where you get yours (who, how much, did you pass smog, etc)?

they contain more rare earth metals.

platinum and such.

hell find the right person you can sell them for up to 400$ a piece.

a guy in my area was going to the dealership with a battery powered sawlsall and cutting them off the trucks.

he made almost 10k before he was caught.
