Power Outlets

I'm new to this forum so am not sure I am in the correct area to pose this question, but will give it a try & hope for some good advice. My 2010 Tacoma has only 2 pwr outlets, both in the instrument panel and both are activated only when the ignition key is on. I would like to make one of them "hot" all of the time like most domestic vehicles cigarette lighter outlets are. I would appreciate suggestions, directions, etc. how to do so. I am pretty handy mechanically and don't care to go back to the dealer for this.
thanks

You can but single/dual/triple add-on outlets at any parts store.
Mount it and run a heavy gauge wire to the battery, and be sure to use an inline fuse to protect it.

Power Outlets

Thanks for the suggestion regarding getting the autoparts store outlet & wiring direct to the battery (with a fuse). However I was hoping to find out how I could make one of the factory outlets hot all the time. I know there is power to the ignition at all times. Must be someway to tap into that with wiring from one or both instrument panel outlets.

Basically the same thing. Get underneath, cut the wire, then splice a new one on and run to the batt.
