I have an 1989 toyota pickup 4 cyl (22r?) 5 speed
truck that messed up on me & I know very little about how to diagnose the problem so any help would be greatly appreciated!
I was driving on the interstate when the truck started losing power in all gears, eventually it didn't even have the power to keep 1st gear from stalling. I pulled over & the motor was very hot with water boiling etc, after it cooling down several hours I tried to start it. It takes a lot of giving it gas for it to start & when it does it makes a loud clanking noise like nails being shook in a can & still has no power.
I don't have a clue if it's a motor problem or a
transmission problem or something else, any help would be great!!
