Throttle Body - '90 Pickup V6 Manual w/ Cruise

Apparently the "check valve" in the auxiliary control valve in the throttle body has "frozen". I'm told that component is not serviceable, so I need to find a replacement throttle body. It's described as a check valve (ball?) that has frozen in the chamber/port.

Really??? Is there no way to repair this? I don't have a schematic of the throttle body to get a better look at what the auxiliary control valve is, or to see if there is anything I can do about it. Used ones (V6, manual w/ cruise) look to be hard to find... and new is something like $700. Whatever.
