'93 4x4 Hilux with front end sound

I have a '93 LN111 Hilux, 4x4 space cab and there's an awful noise coming from my front right hand tyre bay that sends vibrations through to my feet when I drive it. I don't have free wheeling hubs so my front axle is always spinning. If I take the front right hand hub out and go for a drive the noise doesn't happen. I've replaced the outer axle shaft bush, front diff oil and both wheel bearings but it still hasn't fixed it. it's not my rear diff bearing or transfer as when I turn the front drive shaft by hand it makes no out of the ordinary noise.
Has anyone ever had this problem or know what it may be?

Thanks in advance.

I found the same problem was simply leaving the hub in 4x4 with the transfer case in 2x4. also to properly engage your 4x4, start with putting the transfer case in 4x4 first, then get out and lock in the hubs. will make it all last longer! good luck!

Thanks for the response. I don't have free wheeling hubs though, I have a button on my 4x4 stick that locks them in so my front diff is always spinning. Stupid idea if you ask me. Thinking I'll just change the diff bearing and CV shaft and see how that goes. Definitely going to be putting a set of free wheeling hubs in when it's fixed though.

I've had toasted u-joints that felt just fine with the drive shaft mounted on the truck.

Also check the carrier bearing if it's a 2 piece rear drive shaft.

You could also pull one shaft at a time and drive around without it to see if vibes go away.

Yea I've had another play around with it on the weekend and narrowed it down to the carrier bearings. Got another big weekend ahead of me pulling it all apart and replacing it all. While its all out and apart I might install some lockers, apparently they go alright.

Thanks for the response.
