I have actually OWNED K-sport coilovers and though they never made it on my car, I can tell you right now the quality is top notch... they arent a joke. You arent going to hurt anything by autocrossing on them and the car will handle worlds better than with just drop springs and struts. I had both the tein/tokico and the JIC full coilovers on the solara and the difference is unbelievable- makes the other suspension feel stock. Its a decent improvement to go springs and struts, but coilovers blow everything out of the water.
That being said, get the K-sports. there really are not any other coilover options for the gen 3 and the are definately the smartest choice.
