92 ES speedo / instrment lights going out

My wife has a 1992 ES300 that the instrument / dash lights are going out. The lights on the left hand side of the speedo do not work. WHat is required to fix this problem? Are there any lights that can be replaced, or does the whole cluster have to be replaced?

there are a kazillion little bulbs in the back of the cluster. after you go through the hassle of getting the cluster out, you will probably want to replace all of them. if the needles stop lighting, it starts to get expensive.
