2007 Lexus ES

I have read that the LExus ES will be redesigned for 2007 and be called ES350. Does anyone have any pictures of this car??

So far we've only seen one digital image and it's not 100% accurate. I don't believe the rear end will look like the attached but the rest of the car should be correct. I would expect the back to be similar to a BMW 5 series., at least that's my hunch....

The Toyota Mark X might be a good reference for the rear, the high rear deck is also on the 2007 Camry

2007 Camry

5 Series

The LF-SH concept should offer some clues

I am hoping the back will look like the BMW because I don't like the first picture of the back. Also I am assuming the 3.5L from the Avalon will be in the next Lexus with the same HP and torque.

I don't know why but I love the rear end on the first pic.

The tail lamps in the first shot are exagerated, they won't look like that.

Yes, the 3.5 will be in the new ES, HP rating unknown at this point. Also rumored to be available in the Camry (SE only?).

I updated the 07' Camry shot for the latest spy pics.

do you guys think that the ES is going to be rear wheel drive as well? they seem to be switching everything over to rear wheel drive now.

Last i heard the dealerships have confirmed that the 3.5 and 2.4 are the only camry engine platforms. (meaning good bye 3mzfe). Check your sources again....

so anyone found any other pictures of the Lexus ES coming out in 07??

I think that the ES will stay FWD since its not really a preformance car like the GS and IS.

I sure hope it looks better than the very first 'small' pic as that back end looks aweful. I'm sure it will look different though.

Nope, FWD.......however, there have been rumors floating around that there is a possibility of AWD, after the launch of the Hybrid.......as the chassis is capable of such a configuration. The suspense continues......

The lack of leaked info. on the new ES is really disheartening.... I'm beginning to wonder if we'll see debut at Detroit next month!

I just don't know..

ES Spy Shots On C&D TV?

I saw a quick piece on C&D TV about spied cars today, they had a short section on the new Camry. The car they showed had heavy camo but the headlights didn't look anything like the revealed Camry shots we've seen. They also had an interior shot and the steering wheel appeared to have Lexus function buttons and the center stack was nothing like the 07' Camry "garage" spy shots.

I tried to find these shots on the C&D website but couldn't come up with it. You guys who have C&D TV on cable might want to watch the latest show and see if I'm calling this correctly but I think their spy shots are of the new ES and not the Camry.....

Update!

LEXUS FAN on another site confirms seeing the show and states that the car shown is actually an IS mule and not the Camry....
