1UZ Transmissions?

I'm not sure if they have already built 1UZ Manual transmissions but, if they did.. where or how would someone get a hold of one. Or even what transmissions that are manual could fit on a 1uz? Thanks again Everyone!!

All are Auto. I did a search for the IS300 tranny, part# 33030-53060, but it would take a while to get it in if available. Price should be around $1900-$2200.

you were looking to slap a 1uz into a celica? I dont think the 1uz is going to work in the celica. Firstly, the 1uz was originally designed for a big rear wheel drive vehicle like the SC400, LS400, and GS400 line. The celicas, are front wheel. You can't put a long driveshaft down the chassis/unibody of a car that was designed for front wheel drive transaxle. The celica is very light, i'd put a light engine in there, a four cyl, turbo it up and call it good.

if you want a pretty cool, doable project, get like an old 280Z or an old RX7 and put a 350 in it. my friend put a 350 in his RX7 and super charged it. another friend put a 350 in his 280Z and they're both superfast.

Yeah... Um dude... the 1st gen celicas like mine... are RWD... not all Celicas are FWD. And the 1UZ will fit, just need to make custom motor mounts, this and that bla bla bla.. And it is do able as you put it. Look at my sig... its that celica...

Here is a 1uz celica...

Sorry about that, mang. I haven't been here in like three months so i didn't even think to check the dates on the post. And i didn't realize that you were talking about an oldschool celica - I love those! Good luck with your project.
