I spotted the Lexus equivalent of the Rav4!

I was on my way back from lunch in Irvine, CA, on the 405S. I saw a black vehicle covered in green tarp. The tailights were very slanted (like the IS300), and it was *tall* (like the GX470). I drove up and passed it and noticed the honeycomb grill and could see the wind outlining the oval "T" logo in front. At first I thought the RAV-4, but then I realized the RAV4 was already released, there's no reason to be driving one covered up like that. So I got to work and looked up the photo of the new model RAV4, tailights were definitely different. So my logical deduction was that it was the Lexus RAV4 equivalent. It may be the new RX, but it looked too tall for it to be that, and it was shorter than the current GX so I ruled out the LX. I should've taken pictures with my camera phone but those test drivers tend to make evasive maneuvers when they see me do that...

*EDIT*

Sorry, taillights were slanted like the IS350/GS ala L-Finesse style...I'll keep an eye out for it agian today.

What you saw might be a proto for the new Lexus JX 470...based on the LARGER than the LX Toyota Sequioa....

Then again, maybe you saw a proto for the Toyota FJ Cruiser..

The RX350 is already fully developed, it wouldn't be covered up.

Well, I hope they can match the Acura RDX because the new RDX comes with a turbocharged i-VTEC punching out over 240 hp or so I read. :\

Well, judging from the existing RAV4, which uses the 3.5L V6, it has to punch 269hp *at least*. I doubt they'll have much to worry about. Damn, I really wish I took pics of it.
