Well here's the newest look of my 1994 SC! Enjoy, I certainly am! The car looks great, handles great, rides great, feels great, runs great, and did I mention that it looks great?
Nothing would make me happier than not having to see that monster of a door ding everytime I get in and out of the car, but I don't have the $500 I was quoted to fix it. The ding is right on the character line, so it cannot be popped out. It will need body work and a repaint on the door. I am broke now after doing the suspension setu.
They are just flat black emblems, I painted them myself. I need to redo them as well as the sidemarkers, neither came out as nicely as I wanted. This time I will clearcoat the hell out of everything so that it looks better and won't fade. The good part about painting the emblems/sidemarkers yourself is that you can always just sand off the old paint, do a little buff job, and repaint them good as new anytime
Thanks for the compliments on the yellow fogs, from what I've gathered, its a love it or hate it kind of mod, I love it, especially at night!
MY headlights are OEM, I just opened them up and painted the inside chrome part to black. Our SC's have projector headlights, meaning the chrome part inside the light is not used at all to reflect light, painting it black does not affect light output whatsoever. The only thing it affects is the brightness of the parking light bulb that is next to the projector, but that guy is useless anyway so I just pulled him out.
Foggy headlights are a pain, right now mine fog up as well because after I opened them I wasn't able to reseal them properly. It's tough if it's your first time opening headlights, but if you've already got fog then you might as well open them, clean them, reseal them. It's worth a shot before you buy new headlights anyway.
Love it, i'd paint the inner ciclular lights black as well. I love the yellow fogs. nice
The High Beams are tough, becuase they use the chrome part inside as a reflector unlike the low beams. Therefore, painting that housing would basically make the high beams useless. Also, getting those out is a PITA, bumper needs to come off, etc. I'm sure opening them up is no walk in the park either.
