A preview on the new 420bhp high-performance IS500 model from Lexus. It gives a detailed insight on the features and performance of the 60.000$ car, the competition it will have to take (against BMW M3 (E90), Audi RS4, Mercedes C55 AMG), as well as a bit of Lexus IS history.

I love the IS cars, and to see one with that kinda power

Now if it can eat the upcoming redesign of the Cadillac CTS and its V-Series..It'll toss some of that trash talking back in GMs face.

This thing will handle better than my cadillac to tell you that much.

I wonder how close the gears are gonna be if this thing is available in a 6-speed stick when it comes out. Man if it is, I'm gonna want to get it so bad.

wow...IS500, how much for the gas of the while tank???

I saw the new IS250 in Hong Kong, it looks very elegant than the old one.

I doubt it'd come with 6 speed stick...so far the rumor, it would come with 7 speed-auto (SMG like) ... I don't think toyota/Lexus has any capability of producing stick tranmission (even auto is better for supra...) ...i mean, toyota/lexus stick might not be able to handle that much power....heck, even the mass market for toyota/lexus are auto thus i dont think it would ever come out with stick....

forget caddy...this will pwn the Merc, and prob with the right technology and tuning, should be overall better than the M3 and Audi. dunno if it will reach audi handle...but i think the power can compensate for it

and also...the lexus will be built better and give more features than the competition....while a comparable M3 oughta run at least $10Gs over a loaded IS500
