engine swap for IS200

i want more power,im not happy with 230bhp...

i can get a full 3s-gte,with loom,i know its 245bhp as standered(st205),but it looks old in the engine bay,i could also fit the 3s-ge BEAMS,dual vvti,but that is only 210 bhp but looks alot better in situ,can anyone point me in the right direction on tuning and what they think the best option is,is there any links to the tuning of the BEAMS,and any pics of a 3s-gte fitted in an ALTEZZA so i can see if it can be made to look good...........

I got a 1998 3s-gte form a friend in japan off a caldina and its rated at 260hp.I should be fitting it into my frinds Gen2 Camry soon.IMHO the engine looks real nice and im sure with some colored piping and stuff it would look real nice.here is a pic of what it should look like new. I have the exact same engine in my basement waiting to be installed when my friend has the cash.

Isn't the st205 is rated at 225HP if it is JDM. The US one is even less. The 245HP one that you are talking about the is st215?? Or am I on crack here???

As far as looks, who cares what it looks like... its not like you are running with your hood wide open! Don't settle for 210HP just for looks.

The newest 3S-GTE is 255HP from JDM I believe. But I didn't think that the 1998 3S-GTE is the newest version. I think the 1998 is 245HP.

The 255Hp 1998 3s-gte is the Celica GT4.The Caldina is rated higher due to various small factors.Here are the specs directly from toyota 3S-GTE/DOHC/1998/260@6000HP/239@4400FT-LBS(Caldina GT-T Japan)
