Blowing fuse

Got a '96 ES300. Just had the top of the rear seat recovered. It's probably just coincidence, but after we picked the car up we noticed the power trunk release wouldn't work and then discovered the power door locks, dome light, ignition light wouldn't either. I figured it was a fuse. Replaced the dome fuse, but it blew the second time the doors were locked. Now it blows the fuse when the battery is hooked up. Any suggestions on where to look for the short - door lock actuator, maybe.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rainman

If the dealer did the installation,...take it back to them for repair. I would remove the rear seat and check for damaged wiring.

Sounds like a short in the wiring. If not under the seat, check the wires going between the drivers door and car frame. These can fray from opening and closing the door.

Thanks for the suggestions. Located the short. It was in the vanity mirror light in the driver's side visor, which is worn out and won't stay locked against the ceiling. Any suggestions on where to find a replacement visor for my '96 ES300. Saw one for a '97 ES300 on eBay for $69 plus $12 shipping. Appears to be same visor. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Rainman
