Thumbs up New IS-F pics

Well here it is new pics of the IS-F - nice! No six speed but the LS eight. However with 1/10th of a second upshifts and throttle blips on the downshift.

Thanks Lexus!

Awesome looking car.

V8 engine FTW.

Automatic transmission FTL.

Automatic transmission auto rev-matching at downshifts (like BMW SMG or Audi DSG) and full drifts without any electronic nanny.

Overall, very nice car and welcome back to Toyota/Lexus in the grand touring sports car segment. If it is a high revving (power seems close to 100 hp per liter of displacement) 8000+ rpm engine then Yamaha finally returned with a big V8 engine since 2ZZ-GE and 3S-GE 5 years ago. Looking forward to reading magazines tests and comparos.

Performance wise I look foward to burning some tires in it. Looks wise YUCK! The front looks waaay to bulgy the rear doesnt bulge out enough to match the front. I think a good set of super low offset 19s would fix that problem. I HOPE they sell the car in a 6 speed tranny config!

Photos and video of the IS-f

hey folks, a newbie here.

I recently took some photos (and a video) of the IS-F at the Chicago Auto Show.

You can view them at:

http://www.taxicabs.com/autoshow/chi...07/Lexus/IS-F/ (photos, just click the photo to see the next one)

http://www.taxicabs.com/autoshow/chi...us/IS-F/video/ (video)

I put a deposit on this car, can't wait to get it.

Enjoy!

Dave
