There's a thread just like this a few posts below. But anyhow, I was actually considering buying a used 01-05 Hyundai as a daily beater because since the media is making them out to seem like such a great choice I figured, hey why not? Especially when you can find a low milage Elantra or sonata in the ballpark of $5k. After I read some reviews from REAL people. I changed my mind in 3 seconds because 98% of the reviews were to the extent of "I'm never buying a Hyundai again". Unless Hyundai can prove to be a dependable car rather then hatching new models every 2 years, they won't get my business!

Oh yeah.
This particular Lexus style is about 8 years old .
Let's wait for the new redesign RX , before any comparisson and will see who kicks butt.

"The RX 350 remains the category leader, and the Veracruz does little to impact that. But can you get most of the goodness at 20 percent off?"

"It doesn't yet match the Lexus's overall levels of polish, but it's darn close, which makes it very nice indeed, measured against most other offerings."

"The leather and vinyl on the seats didn't quite color-match, the silver finish on the center stack doesn't appear all that sturdy, and there were a few misaligned bits of trim."

I don't think it even offers a nav yet. A loaded RX should cost a lot more because it offers a lot more. The Hyundai is not better, just cheaper. In every way.

You guys are so defensive when it comes to other car brands matching with Toyota/Lexus.
Especially Hyundai.
