B1153 Error Code Help SRS?

Hi,

Could you please help me fix the error code on GX470 – B1153 (seat position sensor malfunction) and SRS light on dash. If you erase the code it comes out again. I’ve changed the sensor but it still On. Anything else I should check? Please advise.

Thank you.

The TSB calls for a new seatbelt assembly with an upgraded sensor wire. It's covered under the 72/70 warranty.

Thank you for reply. Could you please explain what is the 72/70 warranty means? My vehicle is 2003 year and the 3 year basic warranty is already up.

Shall I just go to the dealer and fix it or any other thoughts, advices PLEASE?
Can I fix myself or this is too complicated for DIY? If yes what parts shall I buy at the dealer?

Thank you!
