Question Lexus check engine/trc ctrl light

Hi! I tried putting these on another thread and got no response
Hopefully someone will know what to do? We're having a problem with our 2000 Lexus Es 300. The trac ctrl/check engine lite came on, the codes said noc sensors so we replaced those, then 02 sensors so we replaced those, then one of the 02 sensors again so we figured it was bad and replaced that last night as well. Didn't work, the lites came on again this morning. Is there anything else to try and get rid of the check engine lite? And the overdrive isn't working either. Please please help, we've tried everything, run scanner on transmission and nothing comes up there either. It looks like others have had this problem, several came up when I googled it. Can someone please help me? We've been dealing with this for 6 months now, did transmission kit as one suggested, we're gonna try replacing the spark plugs as someone suggested. But with so many people who have the same problem I was hoping someone out there knew what to do by this time? And we're in San Diego, and need a smog. It won't pass with the check engine lite on. Help help help please!

Thanks
Kathie

Have you had a dealership look at the car or have you been doing all the diagnostics on your own?

What were the exact code numbers? “Noc” sensor, is that knock sensor? In most Toyota’s the TRAC system will turn off any time the CEL is on. This saves engine power in case there is a major problem.

Hi
Thanks for replying!
My husband is a self employed mechanic and has a brand new diagnostic scanner, he's the one that's doing it. It's the same scanner that most mechanics and shops have. So the codes are good, and it looks like a bunch of people are having the same problem with other Lexus/Toyotas. I've found several 'fixes' some we've already done, some we're going to try) and it doesn't really affect the running of the car but the overdrive isn't working it seems this is common with this issue but looks like certain things may fix this) and because we're in California we need to fix it so we can get it smogged. California won't smog a car if the check engine light is on. People in say New Jersey don't have to worry about it and are just driving around with the light on, in California Arnold won't let us.

Thanks for the reply!
Hmmm, I dont' know exactly but my husband's scanner gives the code and then the explanation (it's brand new and does everything...) his old scanner had the knock sensor reading. But once we replaced those they never came up as an issue again, just the 02 sensors keep coming up. Since we've replaced them twice, I'm assuming thats a wrong code. Plus, other people say they've replaced them, and the 02 sensor code is still coming up as the problem even though they've replaced them more than once. Any ideas?
