Did you ratchet back the gear on the camshaft?
One of the camshafts have a split gear in it. If you failed to thread a 10mm bolt on that gear before you took it out, it will ratchet out w/out you knowing it.
Just turn the gear couterclockwise and thread in a 10mm bolt to lock it in place and re-install the camshaft.
Don't forget to take out the 10mm bolt before you rotate the shaft or else it will chew up the head.

Goodluck.
