ES300 display

hey guys. i a proud new owner of a '97 ES300...i previously drove a '92 LS 400, but i decided it was time for a slight update.

anyways, i'm auto-illiterate, so if i don't use the proper lingo, forgive me...

i bought my car used, and i got a good deal on it. but i found out that my front dash display is messed up. does anyone know how much it costs to replace it? just the radio/CD/cassette display. thanks!

Hmm, well I'm sure you already know it won't be cheap. I'm guessing if you get it from Lexus it will most likely be around $1000 US.

You may want to check out www.clublexus.com b/c I know I've seen a few posts about this over there.

And Welcome to TN!

I have several older generation ES300 sitting here, but I don't have the 97 ones... not sure if they are the same or not...

sometimes it might be caused by a dad fuse, ask a auto eletrical technician to check it out first.. I doubt if there's really some problem with the dash, might be the fuse or connector.

but becareful there, coz most likely if there's a problem witht eh connector, your odometer might be tempered...

or there was a serious accident..

anyways good luck
