Angry ES300 Suspension noise

Hello everyone. I'm glad to be a brand new member of your great forum. I have a 1992 ES300 and absolutely love the car but I'm wondering if anyone has the same problem I'm having. There is a thud or clunking noise in the rear suspension when I go over rough road conditions. I've had it checked over by a qualified mechanic and everything is good and tight in the suspension. It almost sounds like a strut is loose and banging but they too are O.K. Does anyone share this same grief. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

ES300 Suspension noise

I have the same problem in my 1994 es300 and i have taken everything out of the trunk thinking it was the tire or the jack or extra tools but it wasnt. I had my car dropped off and they said nothing was wrong. So i think there is a problem with the strut.

Have your upper strut mounts replaced. This should definately solve your problem..

Cool

^ look under the car and make sure the sway bar bushings are still intact (and attached) and that the sway-bar's end links are also still attached. Lotta times it's one or the other.
