Hi,
I am new to this forum and would appreciate some advice.
I currently own a saab 9000 CS 2.3Turbo and am considering a switch to a lexus, I beleive that there is a lexus hatchback but am not sure of the model, can anyone point me in the direction of a good second hand buyiing guide for Lexus, or what to watch out for. I need a big fast car with loads of space and the Lexus look like the only other option to the saab.
Yes I believe you're referring to the IS300 Sportcross model. They're very rare around here although I have seen about 3 of them.
Did it look like this?
If you are looking for both space, luxury, and performance, it's a pretty good choice since the seats fold down. Otherwise maybe a used LX300 (SUV).

Since colinC is in London, I believe the IS200 is what they get in Europe. Also, the stationwagon will not necessarily be called the "Sportcross". Such non-sensical nomenclature is usually reserved for the North American market.

Then again, in Japan they call it the RS200
I thought they call it the Altezza Gita in Japan.
colinC: How about sticking with Saab and getting your hands on one of those 9-3 Viggens??? I love that car!

^^ Yeah I thought it was the Altezza too But when I was shopping for rims the storeowner pointed to RS200 and said that meant IS in Japanese (the whole darn site was Jap so I wouldn't know the diff).
thanks but that pic is not the one I saw, although it looks very nice indeed, it looked a lot more like the GS300 but kinda longer, when the boot was up, I could see that the rear glass was in the air also so deffo not a 4 door saloon,

It had a lexus badge on the right of the boot lid and the model was in the centre, I am pretty sure it was two lettres followed by 300, some strange import perhaps , thanks for all the help BTW
