modded my ES250 manual shifter

I'm new to this site so I don't know if this is a popular mod or not.

I made my manual shifter a short shifter by doing the following:

1. I pressed the shifter ball further up (about 1/2" to 3/4") the shaft.

2. bent the shifter back another 10 degrees or so.

3. Cut the top section of the shifter in half

4. Malleted the stock knob back onto the shifter.

Took me a little over 2 hours (at my work shop) and had to re assemble and take it apart several times to get the right feel.

Unfortunatly the trans is pretty old so it doesn't shift real smooth, but I've gotten used to it.
