Looking at a 92 LS400

Is there anything I should know about this car. It has 260,000km and looks ok.

I have had camrys and supras but not a lexus yet.

make sure the

1) a/c works properly
2) power steering pump is not leaking
3) steering column works properly
4) interior clock/climate control/radio lights up properly
5) air suspension compressor (if it has that option)

thats about all i can think of off the top of my head, anyone else, feel free to add on

See if the t-belt, h20 pump, and tune up has been done. The power steering pump is known for leaking so make sure that gets checked. Make sure the tranny/motor mount has also been changed. If you can feel a vibration around 30-40mph, it's most likley the tranny mount gone bad. That's all I can think of right now.

Also check the front and rear suspesion bushings as well, the LS is a great car and that many miles shouldnt scare you. If the owner has records of the car to show that it has been maintained correctly then that great if not, I would still shop around with any luxury car you are gonna have to keep up with proper matinance. An owner with records of the car available will give you a good idea of the owner. I wouldnt buy any luxury car with out records of the car.
