Es troubles...

Ok, well today, I was sitting in my car at Old Navy Parking lot, I didnt have the key in the ignition, and I was just chilling, listeing to my personal cd player.
Well, I go to lean my seat back, and It was VERY weak.
Oh crap.
I reach over, and try to start the car, nothing, doesnt even turn over, Well im like crap, So I go, pop the hood, fiddle with the battery connections, and try again, nothing, so My dad comes, we Jump it, and it ran! yay! ok, so were driving off, and My dad goes to turn on the radio, hits the button, and THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF

SO were stuck ready to make a turn, the car wont go into gear to push it away, so were directing traffic untill the tow truck comes to bring it back to the dealer, and now, im here without my lex.
Anyone have an Idea of what happened?

I don't know if the 96's had auto-off headlights, but maybe the headlights were on while you were in the car. Mine won't auto shut off until the driver door is opened. That would be my quick fix guess...

However, sounds maybe like the alternator's shot...
