About a year ago, I replaced a battery and every was fine. Then, I started noticing some changes. Over the last six months, I've had to replace an alternator on my 94 Lexas. Now, It is the third time my battery has ran down but my radio and everything is functional so I am wondering could my problem be in the starter? What are your thoughts on my problem? Any suggestion you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Could be bad connections. The other question that needs to be asked, would be: does your starter "click" when you turn the key? You may simply need to replace the starter contacts. It's a relativly inexpensive fix it costs around $5 for each contact and can be done in about 20 minutes yourself if you are mechanicly inclined...

Yes, it does make clicking sounds when I turn the key.
What happens is one contact wears out faster than the other in the starter solinoid and as a result when you turn the key you hear the "Click" of the solinoid moving into the start position but since one contact has "worn" down the solinoid doesnt complete the circuit that causes the starter motor to turn.
If you turn the key enough times you probably can get the car to start. And I would guess that it is easier to start if the car is cold rather than warm or vice versa in some cases. Right?

It seems like the car is easier to start when it is warmier.

The reason for that is because of the expansion of parts when they are warmer, either helps or hinders correct contact.
Go to the Toyota dealership and ask for the starter contacts for a V6 Camry of the same year as your ES300. They should be around $5.00 each. If they are not sure which contacts will fit you can get 2 of each type (3 types possible) and return the ones you don't use.
Even if this does not fix your problem it is the most likely culprit and will probably need to be done in the near future anyway.
Most of the time mechanics or the dealer will try to get you to spend big bucks on a replacement starter, which really isn't necessary.

Thanks. Now, I got agrasp on how to get my car back on the road and understand the mechanics angle.
es250nut is correct about getting new contacts put on but bllaaaaaaaah.
I've never done anything on my '93 ES 300 so annoying that replacing my + connector. Ya might wanna try cleaning everything off with a mix of water and bakingsoda first. Then see how it does. If it works, put one of those $0.50 treated felt pads on the batter terminal.
*edit*I am a blind dumbass, and got ES250 and jetspeed the same.

i always thought a nice sweep hit on the starter housing is the first way to go. to move the contacts hopefully back into place. if that doesn't work then you go to the contacts.
when your alternator was replaced, make sure you have the right cables. Sometimes, the atlernator doesn't work at its full potential when the wires are smaller than they're supposed to be.
