hi there i was looking at sc400 or a sc300 and i couldnt find a 5 spd....i was wondering if they ever made 5 spd sc400 or only auto.......and also i know its possibale to switch it to a 5 spd...s with a tranny from a newer supra fit it or wat tranny will i need????...
and also wat engines to the sc400 and 300 have?????
Since the sc300 has a 2jz already, i'd probably just go with a na/t kit. only thing is the tranny on the 300's is definately not as strong as the 58 in supra tt's. the internals are slightly stronger in the tt's as well (i think). if ya can afford the down time and the motor itself, get a tt, but if not, the na/t conversion is still plenty of kick. a 5er would be a bonus.
you could have a manual tranny in a sc400, with a custom bell housing and a spline adapter, you could put damn near any manual tranny you wanted too, T-56, Getrag, whatever, but it would cost you a bit and you'd have to play aroud with the computer so the engine and transmission can talk
