Question 1uzfe turbo? twin turbo? supercharger?

I am looking into getting the 1uzfe engine. I have heard of people turbocharging them and twin turbocharging them and they even make a supercharger for them. I want to know, which of these would be the wisest choice as far as the money I put in, the HP I will get out of it, and the least trouble to install? Any help would be appreciated.

it really depends a lot on what you want. Do you want something with relatively low maintenance, and something you can install yourself, but with less potential? or do you want something that you can upgrade almost infinitely, but requires someone very knowledgeable to properly install and tune it? ALso, it depends on your budget, short and long-term. Also, do you want a decent increase and want to be unique, or do you want a huge increase, and want to be like every other "tuner" out there?

these are questions you got to ask yourself before embarking on a huge project like Forced induction. YOu don't wanna dump 5-10k (or more) into it, and then realize u're not very happy with the results.

For Supercharging I think Blitz has a twin supercharging system for it.

For Turboing, I think there was a guy with a SC430 that had a twin turbo set up for it. I don't know where the pics are, but if you google it, I'm sure you can find it.

Would it be possible to pull a twin turbo off of another engine, such as the 1jzgte, and fabricate it to fit on the 1uzfe?

No because the 1j is a inline six. The manifolds are completely different. You'll need to custom fab everything.

yeah, that twin supercharging system is sweet! a while back someone posted pics of it on a celsior. I'd say go turbo, just cuz the engine is so amazingly strong that you could really make some amazing power.

btw, did anyone notice that everyone who has posted in this thread is currently online? hehe, weird

^ You first have to find a manifold. You can just slap on a turbo... you need oil lines, upgraded fuel, a fuel management unit, etc. Just more than slapping on a turbo and viola!
