OK..how do you change spark plugs on a Lexus es250?

ok..my dad bought this Lexus es250 1991, I want to give a spark plug change and rotor cap change. How is the easiest way to change them. I see the front three plugs and the other 3 are in the back..what is the easiest way to access it. any tips and tricks..please respond ASAP

I've pulled the intake manifold to do it, but I understand it can be done without actually removing it. You might be able to get easier access to them from underneath. Any way you do it it's not very easy.

Just take the upper intake air chamber off. That, and the throttle body need to be cleaned anyways!


If you're really stubborn and want to reach to do it, you need one of the flexi shaft extensions and a normal joint. Oughta be able to worm in there like that.

you can change out the back spark plugs if you use the right combo of extensions and swivels, I have done it. The #3 and #5 cylinders are the worst because they are directly underneath the intake plenum. This saves you from having to pull off the intake plenum and replacing the gasket for it.

only other thing I can say is be patient cuz it's not easy but it can be done.
