So we do at least one RX 300 transmission a week because people don't change the fluids on schedule.
What I'm saying is: Basicly the RX drivetrain was designed for the ES300/Camry. Now throw this car trans in a heavier SUV, and now make it even heavier and for more wear, add 4 wheel drive.
Don't get me wrong, the transmission can handle it, but it's less forgiving than the Camry/ES300. The trans is fine as long as you stay on top of the trans services. What sucks is that about half of the trans we do are extended warranty which pays shit to us so we don't want to see them.
Please stay on top of your trans maintenance's please!
