I don't know if anyone posted this subject yet, but if they did, I apologize.
My uncle went to the lexus dealer in Japan, and they treat everyone who walks through the showroom door like a god.
1. If they see you pull up outside, they will come out and greet you.
2. The salespeople are dressed in full suits, even females. Dress code is very strict.
3. They take you for a tour around their fancy dealerships.
4. If you buy a Lexus, you'd have to wait for at least 2 months. They want their customers to be devoted.
5. Cars are shipped from the factory to the dealer in a specially enclosed truck. Not those car carriers that have 10 cars stacked on top of each other. Their policy is to not anyone else see your car before you do.
6. Females working there are young beautiful people. They dress nicely, they look like they are professional models, and everyone treats you with respect, no matter who you are. (This is the part that the businesses in US needs to learn. Especially northwest airlines. Northwest airlines flight attendants are old people who treat you like crap. Fly JAL, ANA and other Japanese airlines, and you see all these young beautiful flight attendants who will treat you with respect. Hello Northworst Airlines!? Time to learn some business know hows from the Japanese!!!!! Part of a successful business is to KISS ASS towards the customers. )
7. They bow!!!! They treat you like a president of the United States!!!!
8. When my uncle went in, the floor of the showroom was made of black marble imported from China, as the showroom employee explained to him.
9. When the time is near to get your expensive Lexus, they ask what the buyers' hobbies, interests are. Based on that, they will prepare a special room which is customized towards your interest until they finish prepping your car.
10. They will prepare a special present when you get your car. For example, if you are into golfing, they will prepare a custom golfball set with the L logo and your name engraved in it.
I.e: "Mr. blah, we hope you have enjoyed what we have offered. Here are your keys, (hand you a leather key case with a shiny Lexus key,) and we have prepared a special present for you. If you could open the trunk, we think you will find the gift most appropriate."
Dude, I guess that's how the world works. I don't think I'd be getting that kind of treatment in my lifetime.
And no, my uncle did not buy a Lexus. Too frickin expensive in Japan. Keep in mind though, owning a vehcle in Japan is not as easy as owning a vehicle in the states.
