98 RX300 starting problem (clicks)

hey guys,. my mom left me a message that her lexus wouldnt start so i went to go check it out.
when i try and start it, it has power but i hear a clicking sounf that is really loud fromt he engine bay.
it sounds like the starter's teeth are either all broken off and it is grinding against the flywheel? or the engine is seized and the starter doesnt have enuf power or something.

i do know for a fact that no one takes care of the car and oil changes are like every 10,000 miles
umm, i believe the miles are 108k?
98 RX300 and everything is serviced at dealer.

we changed the battery and it is all good
