CAI filter is NOt in the engine bay it sits outside where cooler air gets to it. The cooler the air cahrge and the "hotter" the spark the better the combustion which means more horsepower. The SRI sits in the engine bay and depending upon the intak system that you choose there are various different mods that you can custom fabricate it to make it a little more efficient. I have an SRI with a ram air adaption to it and I have the piping insulated & the filter half heat shielded to help keep the Air charge lower.
