Update with bulb information. The HIR bulbs lasted around 8 months. This is pretty impressive given that most of my driving (40K+ miles per year) happens at night and that those bulbs were never designed to be run for that long. I'm sure I would've gotten more life out of the low beams. Since going back to a standard modded 9005 of no especial brand, I've noticed failures more often--whether this is due to running cheap bulbs into the ground or potentially water getting into the enclosures has yet to be determined.
