baber,
I just wanted to add an FYI. With the seccurity system on the XLE model, your key has a chip in it. If you need to make additional ignition keys you will probably have to go to the dealer for the keys and also have the dealer program them, unless the procedure is listed in the stickied Toyota factory service manual. You can have all-metal keys made and they will open the doors, but they will not allow the starter to turn when you try to start the car with one of them. When my wife and I had a 98 XLE we each had 1 of the 2 factory ignition keys that came with the car. We also each had an allmetal key made and kept it in our wallets as backups. We left the valet key in the ashtray. If we ever locked our keys in the car somehow or lost our main igniton key, we could open the doors with the allmetal key and get the valet key out of the ashtray and start the car and drive home.
