Gen5 vacuum/high idle confusion

hey guys
after having put a new 3sge (rev 2)engine in my jdm 91 st182 i am down to one last obstacle (hopefully)...she starts fine bit idles a little high ...around the 1800 mark...even at that it can be a little up or down from there .
i think its a vacuum problem but cannot find any detailed photos of what lines should be where (toyota diagrams just confuse the hell out of me ) and there is a definate lack of these beautiful cars in the town where i live so asking someone nicely to look under the bonnet is out of the question .i have a copy of the bgb but it only covers the 3stge and we wont say any thing about the haynes manual !!!
there is a sensor of some sort missing from the enclosed picture... http://img140.imageshack.us/my.php?image=vacuumfy5.jpg (circled badly to the right of the picture you can see the bolt hole where it goes)....which i do not have any hoses to connect to .the bgb and toyota epc says it is for the a/c and heater system.which apparently would affect the idle speed.
if it helps i can get up pictures of my own car tomorrow as that photo is one i found on image shack.
help greatly appreciated as i have gone this far on my first excursion into engine territory and would love to get her running smoothly all by myself and without professional help ....just so i can sit back and feel ever so smug
many many thanks for any help .
