So true! Well...it's easier to appear responsible with respect to a $20 mat, right?
BTW, I don't know what all the big fuss is about with the driver's mat. I bought a set of 4 OEM mats on the day when I bought my car.
My driver's mat has had two holes and clips from day one. And I have never ever had any slippage or movement with it. Toyota is generous with these mats BTW.
The mat on our Benz ML500 only has one hole and one clip.
