I've never seen a stud break on a new Toyota that's never had the wheels off. The cause it usually from someone overtorquing the lug nuts, worn studs/nuts, or cross threading them.

If that's the case, the dealer should warranty it. I don't imagine that they will give you a hard time. It sucks that you have to experience that when the car is so new.

Be sure to use a torque wrench and start the lug nuts by hand when installing them to prevent that in the future.

Factory recommended tire rotations are every 5,000 miles and will GREATLY improve your tire wear.
