I usually do it by ear or seat of the pants. I was paying some attention to the tach during the test drive I did and it was easy to run it over 4k as the engine revved very freely. I was only being a little punchy with the throttle. I expect most of my shifts will fall in the 3.5k-4k range as I'm an economy driver.
