Heh, well either way you pointed me in the right direction... I took a small box cutter knife and wedged it down in there and took the insert out... What do you know, the connector snapped right on!!!

Now I have another delimma, when the car was in the collision, the driver's seatbelt was locked (I guess to prove that he/she was wearing his seatbelt?), and it will not retract. I've removed the molding that goes around the seat belt and exposed the tensioner, or retracter unit, or whatever it is. There is some wiring in there as well. Does this unit have to be replaced? Or is tehre a way to reset it?

Thanks for your help so far, both airbag sensors are now connected and bolted in.
