On the turn signals (this is going to sound strange)take the bulb out of the socket and look into the socket, you will see 2 silver tabs CAREFULLY with a tooth pick pull up on each tab so that they make a better contact to the bulb.
As far as your headlite problem I bet that both bulbs are bad on the low beam side. Common problem, what happens is 1 bulb goes and sends a power serge and blows the other. Pull the bulbs out and with a test lite check and see if you have power as you go back inforth from low beams to high beams.
