^the "experience" site says that it will be an "all new 2.7L engine". it's most likely the replacement for the 2.4L 2az-fe, supposedly named the AR series.

^i'd say so. the venza is basically positioned as a camry station wagon with a little lift in its suspension. the dimensions aren't too far off (it's not that longer), there is no 3rd row option, and it uses a front-engine FWD/AWD layout- which will house at least one of the engines already implemented in the camry (the 2zr-fe), and in a similar fasion (transversely-mounted). the highlander, which somewhat filled that gap in its introduction (first generation), is just another suv now (still based on camry, but very unique)- a less truck-like choice in the mid-size suv-market (the 4-runner is obviously the more truck-like out of the two).
